Job Description
- Oversees and accountable for Tabarak’s general accounting, costing, financial reporting & consolidation functions, duties and responsibilities.
- Directly responsible in reporting to the CEO and CFO, monthly financial statements results and status.
- Designs, reviews and modifies the accounting system covering the 8 projects subsidiary companies of the group over multiple local and international locations.
- Designs internal control systems to ensure the safeguarding of group monetary & tangible assets.
- Ensures the accuracy of data and adherence of the system to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ensure adherence of accounting transactions to group internal controls and set proper procedure for compliance & segregation of duties to comply with GAAP and country laws.
- Co-ordinate the annual independent audit including preparing financial statements for external auditors.
- Files reports necessary to comply with country law and tax regulations for audits of recipients of tax grants/subsidies.
- Maintains the fixed asset inventory system, maintaining pertinent records and ensuring adequate treatment of fixed asset acquisitions and retirements.
- Performs special accounting studies such as preparing cost allocation plans and calculating billing
- Manages and reviews all department staff works and reports.
- Ensures that all deadlines and reports under his department are met and done on time.
- Designs, develops and implements departmental KPI’s and goals.
- Ensures that standards and policies and procedures were strictly observed and implemented.
- Develops, trains and motivates all department staff.
- Directly responsible in developing training plan requirement under this department.
- Performs any other jobs as assigned by immediate superior.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (minimum 4 years study).
- 10-15 years’ experience
- Minimum 5-7 years experienced in management level highly exposed to either general accounting, costing, budgeting and financial reporting & consolidation.
- Very good command in English.
