Job Description
- First line support for linux servers, network, communication lines.
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to web servers, database servers and application servers.
- Respond to queries either in person or over the phone or via remote access.
- Diagnose issues with computer software, peripherals, and hardware.
- Run software diagnostic tools and physically inspecting hardware systems.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
Job Requirements
- BSc in IT, Computer Science or relevant field or equivalent years of hands-on experience
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Good understanding of linux operating systems (Ubuntu, Redhat and CentOS), Web Servers (Nginx), Databases (mysql) and Application servers.
- Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
- Above average knowledge of networking protocols, especially TCP/IP.
- End user-oriented and cool-tempered.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Multitasking skills.
