Job Description

Incumbent is responsible to lead Technical and Quality Assurance for the Operations, as well as to provide guidance to Customer and Supplier quality. This includes ensuring all key parameters affecting product quality are analyzed, improvement opportunities are identified and actioned in conjunction with operation personnel. This is also responsible to drive effective RCA, corrective and preventive actions for any internal and customer non-conformance (NC).

The position also provides support and technical expertise to achieve the quality performance and ensures compliance with PLISB’s Quality Management System and quality requirements, PIAQA, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 and applicable country regulations. 

  • Responsible to monitor, analyze and take lead in investigate all internal non-conformance (NC) to prevent recurrence:
  1. Ensuring a proper RCA is conducted.
  2. Identifying effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. 
  3. Following through CAPA implementation until completion.
  • Serve as a focal point of contact for any internal quality issue, plant trial, NPI and PIMOC.
  • Serve as a primary focal point for any quality incident escalation.
  • Responsible for conformity for product requirement and have the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problem.
  • Responsible for lead quality excellence program, provide feedback to all departments on any quality related activity, e.g. new quality control plan requirements, customer specific requirements implementations, ad hoc quality support.
  • Focal point for core tools training to operations. 
  • Responsible to coordinate and lead process and product audits, ensure compliance to requirements (CSR VDA 6.3), technical team requirements, any external certifications)
  • Responsible to coordinate and monitor PIAQA self-assessment.
  • Serve as a key person to review all related WI and SOP to ensure compliance.

Job Requirements

Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 10 years hands-on experience in Quality and preferably from multinational companies within Lubricants, Chemical, food or Automotive industries. 
  • Preference will be given to candidates having lubricants experience mainly in manufacturing and plant operations.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Management Systems. Lead Assessor qualification is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in implementation on Quality standards, audit programs, investigations and tracking of actions.
  • Hand on experience in management of change coordination and implementation is an added advantage.
  • Able to lead and guide colleagues and peer in any quality incident investigation and root cause analysis determination.
  • Excellent personal integrity and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. 
  • Excellent command in English 
  • Possess management skills on planning, organizing, communicating and problem solving.
  • Have worked in Plant Operations preferably in lubricant industry.
