Job Summary

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will work with our marketing team on the creation, improvement, and delivery of effective marketing and communications strategies and plans. You will brainstorm social media campaigns for our various brands and products, create compelling content and coordinate its development, and you will manage delivery across social media platforms. You will also update and maintain our website and online store(s) on an ongoing basis. 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage Emkay Foods’ website, online store, and all its social media platforms, making sure messages are propagated on the appropriate channels.
  • Create monthly social media campaigns and manage content calendar accordingly.
  • Develop design briefs and coordinate the execution of visual assets with graphic designer.
  • Manage social media and search engine advertising as required.
  • Work with the marketing team on updating our marketing strategies and implementation plan for different products.
  • Contribute to the creation of department wide and cross-departmental systems relating to the creation/curation of compelling content.
  • Work with the team to creatively develop diverse and compelling content for our different target audiences.
  • Respect brand tone and guidelines throughout all channels of communication.
  • Develop monthly reports to document and communicate performance with the team.
  • Work with the team on developing metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adapt or pivot accordingly.
  • Contribute to offline marketing activities including events coverage, activations, prints coordination, and distribution of other resources as needed.
  • Continuously source for opportunities and bring creative and strategic ideas to weekly meetings.
  • Continuously research our target demographics and adapt outreach strategies to their evolving needs.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate is a proactive, driven self-starter with a get-it-done attitude. Ideally, the candidate would have: 

  • Experience in marketing, communications, and/or other related fields. E-commerce experience is a strong asset. 
  • A strong appetite for learning, professional development, and for acquiring new digital skills. 
  • A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing different projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and moderating social media business accounts.
  • Experience with social media and search engine advertising.
  • Experience with content creation, managing content calendars social media campaigns.  
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to transform information into compelling messages in English and Arabic 
  • Experience with Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Canva, and/or their alternatives is a strong asset. 
  • Experience with SEM, WordPress, and Shopify is a strong asset. 
  • Highly collaborative style and strong interpersonal skills; strategic, creative, and pragmatic.
