Job Description
- Providing tax planning and optimization opportunities advice to the business units
- Responsible for managing the Tax submission and tax audit of all legal entities to corporate Regulated authorities.
- Oversee the Group’s Tax reporting process, including organizing deliverables and timetable calculating material GAAP adjustments and review of the tax calculations.
- Proactively inform the Accounting Manager, Finance Director and the Local Management of any change in tax regulation to support fast and efficient business decision making.
- Build relationships and interact with tax representatives to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise.
- Manage local internal taxes (VAT, Income, Payroll, stamp…etc.) in compliance with laws and regulations
- Attend and facilitate proper processing of tax inspections and alignment on any tax risk and tax inspection with the management
- Prepare the required analysis and documents necessary for tax inspection purposes, review the tax authority’s inspection report to identify issues raised.
- Coordinate with external tax advisor on minimizing possible penalties following tax inspections
- Handle company’s legal cases when necessary in alignment with the legal consultant.
- Identify, quantify and communicate tax-planning strategies for all entities, including researching and developing the most tax efficient action plan and/or ownership structure
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- CPA or equivalent is required
- Previous audit experience in one the “Big 4” is an advantage
- Regional exposure and good knowledge of the tax systems in Egypt, UK, KSA and the Gulf is essential
- Familiarity with all aspects of internal controls, financial reporting, financial statements under IFRS and EAS.
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS
