Job Description
- Review construction work to ensure conformance to plans and specifications.
- Compute construction quantities and prepare reports for interim and final payments.
- Review construction work of subcontractors, manufacturers to ensure compliance with contract documents, reporting any discrepancy to the Resident Engineer.
- Perform inspections of construction materials at source (FAT) and on project sites for conformity to specifications.
- Assist the Construction manager and Project Manager in investigating and reporting construction and safety related problems encountered in the field.
- Participate in regular safety inspection
- Maintain a daily project diary, files, test reports, etc. as directed by the Construction Manager or Project Manager.
- Perform load counts of material delivered to construction sites.
- Obtain samples of materials to be sent to the laboratory for testing purposes.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Arabic and English both verbal and written
- +10 years of Railway experience. (construction and preferable design)
- Effective quantitative, organizational and analytical skills.
- The ability to effectively communication with outside contractors, regulatory agencies, community organizations and others on technical and sensitive matters.
- Have excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- The ability to provide internal and external customers with a courteous and professional experience.
- The ability to work shifts and /or locations as assigned or directed.
