Job Description

  • Responsible for the execution of all the trading contracts, work internally with all the departments and externally with customers, suppliers and service providers.
  • Follow up vessel nominations, and forward same information to customer and keep them updated with vessel progress and estimated time of arrival.
  • Follow up on documents issuance and forward same to customer.
  • Prepare invoices, insurance policies, calculate interest and price difference values for customers
  • Present documents to banks and follow up on payment.
  • Co-ordinate with agents all the documents & checks needed for vessel discharge
  • Documentation; review, prepare, check all documents to be approved by local authorities as per our local rules
  • Responsible for vessel nominations, documentary instructions, document issuance/ handling/presentations and negotiation with buyers/or banks and updating internal systems.
  • Keep constantly informed about any changes needed in document or new requirements from local authorities.
  • Responsible for following up the issuance of documents, checks and forms needed for clearing purposes. Check and confirm customs checks to be issued by accounting department
  • Review contracts terms
  • Stocks & warehousing control
  • Executing commodity/ service contract terms
  • Responsible for maintaining regular contact with banks, supervisory companies, insurance companies, chamber of commerce, laboratories, agents, warehouses and trucking companies, buyers and sellers.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, accountants, legal and insurance departments to ensure smooth execution of the trade execution/ logistics function on the different vessels
  • Monitor/ follow-up on purchases/ sales payments.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent is required.
  • A professional certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain is preferable.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience.
  • Highly motivated, with undistracted focus on Objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Deep understanding for Customer Service Concepts and Principals.
  • Attention to Details and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Anticipation & Risk assessment skills
  • Strong follow-up to resolving issues and reaching conclusions
