Senior Surveying Engineer (Toshka)

Purpose of the position

Senior Surveying engineer is responsible for topographic survey and all related duties in an infrastructure project that includes the construction of an irrigation network, substantive civil works, and the associated drainage, roads, electrical and mechanical works, if needed. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of survey works in the project and shall provide services to the project team and is capable of making profiles of quantities, and all surveying shop drawings and data. He reviews measurements of property lines, surveys the curves and contour of the ground, and evaluates zones before drilling begins.

Tasks

• Support the technical office manager, project engineers, and team members in planning, scheduling tasks, and developing integrated project documentation. 
• Support site inspections and assessments and prepare subsequent comments and reports.
• Assist the technical office manager in verifying the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• When requested, review the shop drawings and submittals of the irrigation network Road profile, and other land settlements.
• When requested, review the preliminary cost estimates for the project.
• Document the positioning of all fittings/thrust blocks in the drawings and maintain accurate records for utilizing the data to generate As-Built drawings.
• Support/review surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles
• Document the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features
