Role:

The Vet Care Manager will be responsible for leading the veterinary care team in the Broiler and Breeders sectors by working to provide disease-free flocks and achieve the highest profitability for the company.
As well as reviewing all immunization programs and ensuring their quality and effectiveness.

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with the management of the farms to know the plans, objectives, and timetables for each of the farms and the hatchery lab in order to find out the veterinary support in all its departments of prevention and care necessary for all the fattening sites of the company.
  • Develop a veterinary care plan - in coordination with the technical director - for prevention and care in all sectors of broiler and breeders in the company in a situation that is in line with the production plan in terms of antibiotics, vitamins, preventive and curative programs اand immunization programs, and works on their discussion and approval by the technical director.

  • Prepare annual needs to plan for the Department of Veterinary Care and proposes the appropriate types of medicines, vitamins, and vaccines, as well as tools, equipment, and supplies for all departments of veterinary care from protection and care to cover the expected needs of the farms, and approved by the Technical Director.

  • Direct and assists the veterinarians at the sites to develop veterinary care plans - in all aspects of prevention, care and laboratories - that are necessary for the needs of the farms they supervise.
  • Establish control and follow-up systems for the implementation steps of prevention and veterinary care plans and programs in each of the company's farms and hatcheries.
  • Follow up the health status of the herds through periodic visits and follow-up of results reports issued by the veterinary lab, farms and hatchery laboratories, in order to guide the management of farms and veterinary care officials and participate with them in avoiding the occurrence of diseases and preventing their spread, and dealing with any problems or accidental cases that may have an impact on production And the health status of the herds to reach the optimum rate of production.
  • Follow up the health status of the herds through periodic visits and follow-up of results reports issued by the veterinary lab, farms and hatchery laboratories, in order to guide the management of farms and veterinary care officials and participate with them in avoiding the occurrence of diseases and preventing their spread, and dealing with any problems or accidental cases that may have an impact on production And the health status of the herds to reach the optimum rate of production.
  • Develop and commits to implementing a plan for the needs of the company's veterinary care department from veterinarians, and works on appointing doctors with capabilities appropriate to the company's needs, as well as making plans for the necessary preparation for them.
  • Work to develop and implement effective plans to raise the level of veterinary medical awareness among farmworkers through holding periodic meetings and seminars to raise their technical efficiency and update their information with all new veterinary aspects that affect the safety and quality of production.
  • Review all the data of the liquidation of the flocks from the sales department and the data entry, and analyzes it and makes use of it in the upcoming flocks.
  • Responsible for implementing all veterinary care systems, policies and standards set by the Technical Office and any modifications that may occur to them, in coordination with the management of farms, hatcheries and the company's veterinary care team.

Job Requirements

  • 15 -20 years of experience in Broiler / Breeders is must.
  • Demonstrable profound knowledge of poultry health/poultry nutrition/chemistry.
  • Excellent training skills and ability to create compelling presentations and write technical reports.
  • Master’s degree in poultry nutrition, poultry production, poultry health, poultry science, veterinary science or similar, Ph.D. preferred
