Job Description

The mission of the Business Intelligence function is to identify and translate market opportunities into actionable recommendations to achieve individual, team and company targets. To support management and Marketing department in finding new ways to attract new customers, maximize value of existing customers, and retain the most profitable ones. In addition, this role will be key in forecasting market trends. Supporting the marketing campaigns’ target setting process and measuring the impact of campaigns and reporting to senior management

  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through market and media research, data manipulation and statistical modeling and analysis.
  • Guiding strategy development and portfolio choices
  • Optimizing our initiatives, brands, and brand portfolios.
  • Being a strategic and influential partner to all key stakeholders
  • Managing and developing marketing activities to support immediate and long term business goals in a creative and cost effective manner.
  • Establish intuitive reporting methodologies, perform ad-hoc market analysis as required to support strategy and analyze market and media performance
  • Build or develop Tech Data’s market knowledge with a focus on understanding available market potential and opportunity, market penetration and customer valuation models
  • Collect & analyze relevant pieces of customer information –cross-check internal and external information sources and ensure adoption of consistent process/methodologies/source data (modelling, assumptions, use of external data sources)
  • Update existing and create new metrics and reporting that help drive business decisions.
  • Develop insightful and actionable dashboards for internal teams (technology, marketing, product, content, finance) and upper management.
  • To be an advocate for the latest tools, metrics and techniques; advising on media trends and best practice.
  • Building the marketing team’s capabilities in market intelligence
  • Ensure the team understand the latest research techniques and effectively apply them
  • Ensure that the team is consumer oriented and data focused
  • Build forecasting models that will determine company’s growth opportunities
  • High involvement in decision making process to ensure that consumer knowledge and market understanding are the heart of all decisions made

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

  • BSc degree, marketing or business administration
  • Master degree preferably MBA
  • More than 7 years experience in marketing research
  • Strong background in data extraction, dashboard creation, predictive analytics and developing business/customer insights, and experience in Market Intelligence.
