Job Description
- Formulates competitive bids/estimates/quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation.
- Ensures tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
- Manages the preparation of all technical (e.g. defining the most suitable technology and product type(s)), financial (e.g. total price sheet]) .
- Ensures submitting quotations to be fully compliant with the customer specifications and drawings and submits a deviation sheet/statements in case of non-compliance.
- Creates a full short circuit and selectivity studies using ABB standard and last updated documents or ABB online tools, if needed before order.
- Using the standard software tools – if exists – or any other standard templates by the company to create the quotations with a correct products information and quantities.
- Collects and creates full project submittal documents that would be required by the end customers or the consultants.
- Develops the needed skills to use an engineering software tools like ABB Software e-Design to be used if needed.
- Responsible for collecting and collating all information needed to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements .
- Creates a follow-up sheet that contains all details about all offers and keep it updated with any modification on the offer.
- Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Provides any necessary technical support to Sales Managers or sales team during technical meetings with customers.
- Collaborates with the Engineering department to coordinate any required clarifications or configurations about the panel assembly or design standards or any advanced technical requirements or to manage the full compliance sheets of the customer specifications if required.
- Collaborates with the sales team and Engineering team to handle any requirements after orders.
- Develops all needed technical skills and knowledge in the low voltage products through reading catalogues, attending online training or class room training sessions provided by the original manufacturer (ABB) of the products.
- Develops all needed knowledge about the full products portfolio of the original manufacturer (ABB) and other existing, same level, original manufacturers in the local market and recognizing the competitive advantages of the products of the original manufacturer (ABB) and promote it to the customers in a competitive bids/estimates/quotations.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is a must.
- Sound knowledge in Low Voltage Switchgear’s products and market.
- Must possess outstanding communication, team work spirit and interpersonal skills.
- Must be good in English and computer level and have a good command of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.
- A strong attention to detail.
- The ability to think conceptually and critically.
