Job Description
Merchandiser
- He receives customers and directs them to what suits them of products after listening to their requirements and their needs (Retail / wholesale) and provide accurate information such as product features, prices, warranty services and after services
- Sell products (if any) as well as answer customer / merchant questions about specific products.
- The essentials of this job are the skill of excellent communication and the ability to achieve the required percentage of sales and the ability to provide solutions to customer complaints, provide recommendations and choose the right product.
Retail / Wholesale Store Salesman Job Tasks:
- Receiving customers and directing them to the store departments with care and courtesy.
- Provide accurate information such as product features, prices and after-sales services.
- Responding to customers regarding products and services.
- Show comparisons between prices and additional features to encourage customers to buy.
- Preparing and processing various promotional offers.
- Oversee consistency of warehousing operations and quantities displayed on shelves.
- Coordinating with the retail sales team to provide excellent customer service, especially during peak times.
- Continuously introducing customers to the latest special offers and discounts.
- Submit periodic reports on customer feedback to the store manager or the floor supervisor, and inevitably to the sector manager (wholesale / retail)
- Stay informed of new products and offers.
Job Requirements
Skills needed for a retail store sales job:
- Good understanding of the retail/wholesale process.
- Familiarity with the principles of consumer behavior.
- Very good knowledge of all the company's products offered and on loan, and the difference between one product and another in order to be able to achieve a distinctive and excellent sales service.
- Knowing the proper storage procedures for the products.
- Proficiency in mathematical operations.
- The ability to achieve the required percentage of sales.
- Proficiency in communication skills and the ability to build trustful relationships with clients.
- Ability to work at different times.
