Job Description

  • Study all project documents (drawings, specifications, BOQ, tender handover documents and any related documents) to provide brief/ feedback to direct manager.
  • Prepare RFI (Request for information) for any data missing or conflict within project documents.
  • Prepare Requests for Quotations RFQs (Request for Quotations) to suppliers.
  • Obtain, file and study both technical and commercial quotations from suppliers to ensure it matches project requirements.
  • Prepare both technical and commercial comparisons.
  • Prepare and process suppliers’ letters of intent (if needed).
  • Prepare submittals for consultant’s/client’s approval in line with the selected vendor/ supplier as per the department standards.
  • Receive PR (Purchase request) of the approved materials through ERP System.
  • Prepare and process PO (purchase orders) or subcontracts to the approved vendor/ supplier.
  • Follow up with procurement specialist in releasing the payments and the logistical procedures.
  • Assist in following up of order/ contract management that includes manufacturing, testing, delivery... etc.
  • Collect and prepare project close out documents from project related suppliers
  • Work with other team members to accomplish objectives and the department KPI’s.
  • Follow-up all of the above responsibilities in conjunction with direct manager.
  • Perform other assignments as necessary to support the function/department
  • Ensure working according to the company HSE policies and regulations, risk assessment and environmental aspects

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-6 years of experience in same field.
  • A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software. 
  • Very good knowledge AUTOCAD (Must) and REVIT (Preferable). 
  • Ability to handle relatively large amounts of data.
  • Ability to build relationship with stakeholders. 
  • Negotiation skills. 
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Able to prepare progress measurement and reporting templates. 
  • Presentable and accurate. 
  • Attentiveness to details. 
  • Logical thinking.
