Job Description
- Prepare and follow-up technical queries with the Client/Consultants.
- Study the project contract documents (time schedule, project design drawings, BOQ, etc.
- Preparing Material Approvals and Material Tracking Lists (Approval, Request and Delivery).
- Preparing Quantity Estimations and Materials Requests.
- Study the specifications, drawings and conditions of the project contract.
- Review preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications and cost estimates related to the project.
- Prepare and issue shop drawings for all allocated tasks.
- Prepare quantity survey for steel and concrete work and any implemented activities by using computer programs or manual.
- Prepare time schedule for executed work versus planned.
- Preparation of follow-up report and its conformity with the time schedule.
- Check technical details and drawings to ensure correct implementation in the field.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly site reports.
- Prepare work requisition for all required permanent materials, and prepare material submittals and follow-up on the approval process.
- Review product, analyze materials, and determine appropriateness for application to projects.
- Responsible for communicating with contractors & suppliers.
- Responsible for preparing invoices, check sub-contractor invoices, deal with the main consultant.
- Cost break down for project items.
- Ensure that the site is supplied with all documentation and materials needed to carry out the works.
- Participate in implementing technical office policies and procedures.
- Study the project contract documents (time schedule, project design drawings, BOQ, etc.).
- Update the shop drawing log before sending the shop drawing to the consultant for approvals.
- Study and prepare requests for information (RFIs) for all missing, unclear, conflicting or other technical matters that may arise during construction.
- Coordinate with the Surveying Engineer to provide him all the information about land coordinates and any site measurement required.
- Participate in solving/reporting any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise during construction to the Technical Office Manager for discussion and proper solution.
- Prepare as-built drawings at the end of the project and hand over to the project consultant
Job Requirements
- Civil Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience
- Experience in Construction/ Contracting companies is a MUST
- Good background in building materials and construction methods
- Good English skills
- Job will be outside Cairo
