Job Description
- We’re looking for a Senior SQL server DBA who is able to provide physical database support for large scale SQL Server databases and multiple Database servers ensuring database integrity and availability.
Job Requirements
- Strong Experience in Day to Day SQL DBA activities
- Experience in Backups/restores, Identifying & resolving blocking issues, mirroring, Performance tuning, query optimization, troubleshooting Clustered and non-clustered environments
- MS SQL server security and database permissions
- Migration and upgrades of SQL Server instances 05/08/12/14.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capability and good communication skills.
- Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure SQL Database.
- Prepare, coordinate and implement production releases and fixes.
- Identify and advise on issues and necessary remediation as appropriate.
- DDL/DML expertise, Optimizing and Performance Tuning using execution plans, Profiler and Database Tuning advisor.
- Power Shell automation experience
- Experience with project management, application development, Oracle, FogLight, PRTG, Redgate, Rubik backup utility, SSIS\SSRS is a plus. (Please mention in the interview if any is applicable)
- Database Replications
- Dealing with large scale DB’s and many DB servers
Qualifications:
- Strong SQL DBA knowledge with 4-6 years of production support in a large-scale environment of >100 instances
- Fluency in English
