Job Description

  • The role is to convert customer forecasts and orders into valid Master Production Schedules to ensure on-time shipment of products to our customers and maintenance of inventory levels as per Company policy. You are the primary driver of Customer Service within the plant. SAP , MRPII and SCE are the key tools you use to achieve a high level of Service.
  • Produce weekly valid Production Plans on time, in agreement with Production Supervisors, to meet Customer needs, and maintains inventory at agreed levels.
  • Support the MRP process by ensuring product inventory levels comply with agreed targets and write-offs are minimized.
  • Monitor the execution of the Production Plan daily with Production Supervisors.  Communicate in a timely manner progress of plan and in particular changes which will impact due dates to Customer Service and other relevant staff.
  • Manage business requirements by revising the schedule where appropriate to ensure that it reflects changes either internally or externally driven e.g. equipment failures or changes in customer orders.
  • Use SAP to carry out MRP and/or MPS tasks as per best practice/procedure. Respond in a timely manner to all SAP exception messages
  • Contribute to preparation of documents related to the Sales and Operations Planning process, eg. Volume analysis, rolling estimates for finished products and ingredients, inventory analysis, rough cut capacity analysis, manpower needs, MRPII results and deviation analysis, material supply issues, etc.
  • Carry out root cause analysis of supply issues. Identify and implement corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all SAP exception messages and maintain SAP master data associated with your MRP controller.
  • Liaise with QA, Production, Procurement and Customer Services as appropriate, to resolve production/supply problems as they arise.
  •      10- EOSH.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high EOHS standard in order to protect their own health and safety and that of others.
  • Follow EOSH policies and procedures
  • Immediate reporting all hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and incidents

Job Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of master resource planning Mechanics and MRPII
  • Strong Computer skills and mainly advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working in a Class A environment is an advantage
  • Strong planning skills
  • Strong sales trend analysis and forecast accuracy.
