Job Description
- Studying the project documents and reviewing the design drawings and execution plans of the project.
- Work (packages) for materials and items, such as the technical specifications of the project for each item separately, and measure the works.
- Distribute packages for each item to suppliers/contractors to fetch quotations.
- Review quotations of contractors/suppliers technically and financially.
- Comparisons between contractors' prices, meeting with them, and negotiating to get the best prices.
- Issuing an assignment order or a contract for the subcontractors, following up on the disbursement of the advance payment, and submitting the technical submission for approval by the project consultant in coordination with the technical office.
- Issuing purchase orders to suppliers after negotiating prices and agreeing on the best method of payment and the shortest possible supply period.
- Follow up on the supply of materials to the site and the financial follow-up to issue the check to the supplier until the check is delivered to him.
- Follow up with the site and project management regarding the problems raised by the subcontractors to make an attachment to the assignment order if required.
- Follow up with the project in case of any problems with the supplied materials and resolve them with the suppliers.
- Prepare weekly follow-up reports and submit them to the Purchasing Department.
- Carry out any other work assigned to him within the limits of his job duties and responsibilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering. (Accumulative Grade must not be less than Good).
- Proven working experience in Material procurement, Contracts, shop drawing, and finishing works.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, 3D Max, or similar.
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
- Project management and supervision skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
