Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Duties and Role Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)
 

  • 1. New office network environment deployment and maintenance and ensure network robustness.
     
  • 2. Maintain the GSC production network, include user access area, data center and also the connectivity to multiple customers.
     
  • 3. Support the GSC remote access to customer side, including providing the connectivity proposal, connectivity explanation and implementation, also include supporting the connectivity reachability and stable for the all life cycle of the remote access project
     
  • 4. Responsible for the daily switch port and firewall policy requirement, network healthy check, emergency planning and drills
     
  • 5. Maintain Documentation of network related, such as IP address list, CMDB and also connectivity information for each remote access project
     
  • 6. Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues assigned to them.
     
  • 7. Maintain accurate inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts.
     
  • 8. Identify and effectively priorities situations requiring urgent attention.
     
  • 9. Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
     
  • 10. Maintain excellent communication with all end users and other members of the technology department.
     
  • 11. Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to our clients. You will help install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
     

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
  • For L1/L2 engineer, at least 1~3 years of experience in Network administration.
  • Detailed experience with Open Short Path First (OSPF) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), MPLS and IPSEC IS A MUST

Knowledge & Skills
 

  • 1. Expert knowledge of Cisco, Juniper or Huawei equipment and technologies
     
  • 2. Possess the ability to quickly identify, diagnose and provide solutions to complex problems, requirements and integration of various technologies.
     
  • 3. Provide planning, installing, configuring and maintaining routers, switches, VPN and Firewalls.
     
  • 4. Establish and maintain service levels; perform basic troubleshooting; monitor network implementations; and manage network device alarms.
     
  • 5. Expert knowledge with layer 2 and layer 3 technologies with a focus on network equipment, specifically routers, switches, firewalls
     
  • 6. Functions as the expert in networking experience as well as LAN/WAN optimization experience.
     
  • 7. Monitor availability and reliability of Data Center Network.
     
  • 8. Resolve hardware, operational, infrastructure and application incidents within our data center switch and routing infrastructure.
     
  • 9. Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve routine problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability.
     
  • 10. Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues and progress toward goals
     
  • 11. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
     
  • 12. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
