Role Overview
As part of our global expansion, we are looking for a Country Head of Business - UAE.
The successful candidate must possess a unique blend of entrepreneurial acumen, leadership skills, passion, energy, and experience to successfully grow and scale the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, building a strong team, and driving execution to achieve our vision.
The end-to-end accountability includes managing and scaling the local business cutting across customer acquisition, P&L management, fulfilling regulatory obligations in relation to operations, compliance, people, legal, information, fraud, cross-border activity, reputation and brand as well as financial controls and financial exposure.
In this role you will
·Responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company, building a strong team, and driving execution to achieve our vision.
·The end-to-end accountability includes managing and scaling the local business cutting across customer acquisition, P&L management, fulfilling regulatory obligations in relation to operation
·Act as Board member of the local regulated entity /Chair of country ExCo.
·Build core stakeholder relationship with the Global CEO, other Global ExCo members and other senior members of this fintech venture.
- Liaise with the Global Expansion team and drive the process end-to-end: understand the regulations, execute on the application with support from right subject-matter experts and get the regulatory buy-in.
·In collaboration with Global Expansion and Growth teams, responsibility for making decisions on what problems to solve for which customers, how to prioritize, etc
- Delivers updates on business, strategy to the board of directors and other stakeholders
- Maintain and improve relationships with financial institutions (banks, payment companies, card schemes) and lead commercial negotiations to drive down costs. You will be accountable for our economics to ensure that our proposition is competitive; if needed, onboard new Financial Institution partners.
