Senior Fixed Assets Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Manage Fixed Assets.( Maintain and update Fixed Assets register  – Acquisitions ,Disposals, impairments ).
• Recommend any updates to accounting policies affecting fixed assets to management.
• Allocate tag numbers to fixed assets to effectively track them for time to time.
• Track, compile, and record project costs in fixed asset accounts; close out the accounts at the completion of the projects.
• Perform revision and update on the detailed schedule of accumulated depreciation and fixed assets.
• Follow-up, receipt and pricing of imported equipment from abroad - import shipments file
• Linking assets to their whereabouts and defining and classifying what is commercial and industrial
• Prepare monthly journal entries(Acquisitions ,Disposals ,Depreciation ,etc..) according to company policies and EFRS .
• Assist with Balance Sheet preparation and Monthly Accounts closure.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Backup all data in external storage for  Accountant with duties & Monthly Reporting.
• Maintain a master list (Assets Register) of monthly journal entries in excel and reconcile it with ERP system.
• Record supporting information for Fixed Assets such as (Overhead charges on imported assets).
• Enter all General journal entries into AX Microsoft software.
• Create recurring journal entry templates.
• Ensure that reversing entries occur on timely manner.
