Ability to redesign or offer suggestions on how to reverse engineer some mechanical and electronic items.
Ability to work with a minimum of direct supervision.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment with DVM and Scope.
Multi-Tasking, Forward Thinker is a MUST.
Must be a PC Computer Hardware Expert on Repairs and troubleshooting. DOS/Windows
Proven soldering, disordering skills. Can work with basic hardware tools, and power tools, e.g., electric drill, electric saw,
Operation of standard university lab measurement equipment.
Excellent electronic diagnostics skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication in English.
Organization skills, taking pride and ownership in the workspace to keep it tidy and safe.
It is preferred that the selected candidate will have basic knowledge of Linux administration including user account management, system backup and recovery, and system monitoring/ maintenance.
Ability to install and maintain software programs used in university labs.
Proven technical support experience is recommended
Bachelor’s in computer or Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
