Job Description
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of Shift Production to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures
- Manage his team performance and development.
- Maintain the work standard according quality instructions and maintain the TPM standards (5S , VPM and AM )
- Complete an end of shift report for the Production Manager in order to deliver detailed evaluation of performance and carries out an effective communication & handover exchange with the incoming Shift Manager in the work area in order to keep overlapping smooth without any miscommunication.
- Deal appropriately with any emergencies arising e.g. Fire, fatality, illness etc. by organizing the team & calling the relevant emergency service to ensure this problem was finished without any losses.
- Ensure effective shift maintenance and promotes high safety standards, housekeeping quality assurance and environmental standards to ensure this meet the Company Policy and to prevent any incident.
- Review and improve technical performance and follow up all sugar losses sources, in order to minimize energy, water, chemical, materials consumption and the solid losses.
- Establish, develop & maintain an effective operating shift to ensure smooth running and efficient 'team' operation.
- Assume responsibility for plant manager outside normal day work hours to ensure their smooth, efficient operation and achievement of targets.
- Achieve the desired, saleable shift production targets and product ranges in order to meet market requirements.
- In collaboration with other departments, contribute to the development of plant modifications and new plant designs in order to improve efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in chemistry or chemical engineering
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in the Sugar industry including 2 years as a shift manager.
- Very good computer skills.
- Very good Command of English.
