Senior Database / BI Developer -Cairo

Job Summary

The Senior database developer will be responsible for developing, testing, improving, and maintaining new and existing databases. 

He/she will be a critical member of the implementation team, will work closely with developers to ensure building a unique healthcare application, will also collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements. Communication and organization skills are keys for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude.

Responsibilities 

• Design stable, reliable, and effective databases
• Develop solutions for existing SQL Server Databases for performance tuning and query optimization
• Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the DB
• On-call support for project/production environments
• Conduct root cause analysis on persistent or major database related problems
• Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
• Participate in all stages of the development life cycle, from concept planning to build, testing, and delivery
• Collaborate with developers and product managers regarding database requirements, data stability, establishing best practices,s and other matters related to the database.
• Ensure database backups are appropriately executed and periodic restorations are exercised to ensure backup quality
• Create functional requirements and reports on databases.
• Collate, prepare and present statistical information and any other required documentation for internal and external use
