Job Overview:
The accountant has a leadership role to guide accounting personnel in daily tasks, will be responsible for recording the entries and controlling the company’s trial balance, bank account, reconciliation of cash accounts, and fixed assets, AP, AR, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Record all accounting transactions and ensure all entries are recorded correctly based on required approval, POs, allocated cost centers, and GL accounts.
- Prepare & confirm accounts reconciliations with related parties & sister companies
- Record invoices and payment for accounts receivable & accounts payable and finalize pending issues and confirmation.
- Ensure proper categorization of assets (e.g., buildings, machinery, equipment, vehicles, intangible assets, etc.) and correct classification under the relevant asset categories.
- Review periodical tax reconciliation with tax authority.
- Prepare bank reconciliations, coordinate with campus/center personnel to resolve errors.
- Ensure that cash inflows (e.g., customer payments) and outflows (e.g., vendor payments, loan repayments) are recorded accurately.
- Record daily cash transactions, ensuring timely recording of deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring that all fixed assets and banking records are compliant with auditing standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
- At least 2-5 years of experience in accounting.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks) and Excel (advanced level).
- AR and AP accounting cycle.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft office programs (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc)
- Ability to troubleshoot accounting and banking issues and recommend solutions.
- Excellent In English.
