Job Description
- Reformulating and enhancing original copy/content based on the briefing provided by the content ops team and according to the specified target audience,
- Reformulating slogans, messages, and other content (depending on the brief’s requirements) that fit digital and/or print materials,
- Reformulating/editing audio and video scripts that serve the client’s requirements.
- Working closely with the content ops Department to assist in the preparation of writing briefs, marketing copies and content of various kinds, etc., and
- Supporting other teams and departments with all textual content in order to ensure the text is meticulously formulated and meets the requirements of quality standards.
- Proofreading, restructuring and editing articles/content pieces by writers. Translating & re-editing pieces of Arabic content to English content fluently.
- Summarizing large articles/synopses into more compact ones in a timely manner.
- Researching facts to verify content & avoid plagiarism.
- Work autonomously and in groups in a fulltime job with peers to shape the English content department.
Job Requirements
Educational and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field is a plus.
- Previous content editing/copy editing experience—especially in the fields of marketing, medical marketing, or advertising—is required.
- Previous experience in any role related to language and content enhancement (proofreading, writing, editing, etc.) is required.
- Previous experience in writing for business and understanding of business
Other Requirements:
- Advanced English language and writing skills are an absolute must.
- Understanding of news publishing processes is a must.
- A sense of creativity and innovation, which is imperative in the process of reformulating text/content for marketing purposes.
