Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for promoting the company's products and services on the one side and on the other side will be responsible for building relationships with new clients while also managing existing accounts. The main focus is to ensure that Quanta’s customers succeed in their business while achieving sales and profit goals established by the Quanta to meet their targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintenance and identification of new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Make sales calls and presentations as often as necessary to maintain a solid customer relationship and as required to increase sales/penetration.
  • Increase sales through account penetration by analysing current sales and volume, planning sales calls and following up.
  • Utilize product knowledge, return on investment (ROI) and analytical research tools and sales training resources to effectively target new prospects and opportunities.
  • Continuously monitor assigned accounts and take corrective action, as needed, to maintain and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly communicate with assigned accounts regarding new products and services, company changes, holiday schedules, item changes, and new sales opportunities.
  • Update customer about any pricing/ item changes or information.
  • Immediately notify the management team if an existing account is in jeopardy of discontinuing service or issues remain unresolved regardless of attempts to correct the situation.
  • Regularly interact and communicate with various internal departments to provide vital information that may be necessary for servicing the customer. This may include advance notification to merchandising of changes, increased or decreased product movement, new business, changes in proprietary product or other related information.
  • Provide advance notification to operations about new customers or any other changes that may affect customer orders or delivery.
  • Assists in the set-up of new accounts including the creation of customer order guides, obtaining new account applications, setting up price-rules, establish order/delivery schedules, implement customer/vendor pricing agreements, create files, etc.
  • Coordinate with each appropriate department to meet or exceed the customer’s expectations.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

  • 5-7 years
  • Preferred 3+ years prior foodservice sales, B2B experience, restaurant management or culinary background

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or Culinary Arts preferred

Skills:

  • Knowledge of marketing principles, product lines, ordering procedures, and credit terms
  • Familiarization with customer service activities, interdepartmental communications, and general finance concepts
  • Ability to manage end to end initiatives through challenging deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to service multiple customers simultaneously; Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Expert in Microsoft Suite of applications (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
  • Stay current on existing and new Quanta technologies to ensure customers have the latest information.
  • Ability to sell, ability to multi-task, familiarity with customer service activities and interdepartmental and cross-departmental communications, effectively present information, problem solver.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience with and working knowledge of Quanta customers and sales support best practices
