Job Description

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing financial reports and statements for management review.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance workflow efficiency and internal controls.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support strategic business decisions.
  • Support the finance team in managing cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years and up to 8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
