Job Description
- Work with warranty administrators in BUs to support submission of warranty claims. In smaller BUs responsible for the claim submission.
- Work with suppliers to maintain latest / best practices and resolve warranty related issues.
- Keep the warranty manual updated.
- Ensure the latest warranty procedures are widely distributed and easily accessible (e.g., via SharePoint).
- Prepare & submit monthly warranty performance report covering multiple warranty aspects & KPIs (financial & operational).
- Follow-up on all aspects of the monthly warranty performance report to ensure the level of ‘Best Practice’ for each aspect is achieved.
- Proactively provide monthly analysis reporting for all Warranty claims and settlements submitted to CAT for all BUs.
- Communicate the annual STD (Standard) warranty budgets to all Service Managers (including identifying models due for washout in the upcoming year).
- Continually looking into ways in improving/streamlining warranty administration functions and reporting.
- Initiate warranty development requests & work closely with the service development team to discuss the required development & perform testing before deployment.
- Proactive analysis of WIP (Work In Progress) and follow-up, as necessary.
- Regular follow up on warranty suspense accounts to ensure all postings & washout treatments follow the rules.
- Extract financial manual entries and make sure all the x.refs are following the automatic posting allocation.
- Work closely with warranty team in the BUs to provide the required guidance & understanding for the std & non-std warranty treatments.
- Work with the group & BU finance team answering all enquiries & providing required analysis for reviewing the warranty suspense account balance.
- Demonstrate the required proficiency level specified in the department and abide by the standard of conducts for safety and group standards in all operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Statistics
- Min. 2 years of experience in warranty coordination, after-sales service, or a similar administrative role
- Familiarity with construction equipment, heavy machinery, or automotive industry processes
- Very Good Communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Good English (both written & spoken)
