Job Description

Roaya is seeking a results-oriented Content Writer to serve as the voice of our products and services across web and social channels. The successful candidate combines strong editorial skills with a proven command of SEO and a solid understanding of cloud technologies (SaaS, email and collaboration, security, reliability, compliance). You will produce accurate, engaging, and conversion-ready content that supports our go-to-market strategy and strengthens brand authority.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

 

  • Translate marketing and business objectives into structured content plans and editorial calendars.
  • Conduct competitive, audience, and keyword research; develop personas and topic clusters aligned to the funnel.

 

Creation & Optimization

  • Author SEO-friendly website copy (landing pages, solutions/services pages, resource hubs) and long-form assets (blogs, guides, white papers, case studies).
  • Optimize existing content for on-page SEO (titles, meta descriptions, H1s, alt text, internal linking, schema where applicable).
  • Produce PR materials (press releases, media pitches) and executive bylines; script/transcribe short product videos and demos.
  • Create and promote supporting assets (infographics, decks) to drive reach and backlinks.

 

Technical & Product Storytelling

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate complex features into clear value propositions and user benefits.
  • Develop task-oriented content (how-tos, FAQs, knowledge-base articles) that reduces support friction.
  • Select appropriate formats and channels (web, documentation, short video) for maximum clarity and impact.

 

Measurement & Governance

  • Track KPIs (rankings, CTR, organic sessions, assisted conversions) and recommend iterative improvements.
  • Uphold brand, tone, and compliance standards across all touchpoints.
  • Other duties as assigned in support of a fast-moving marketing organization.
  • Cloud Emphasis (What We Expect You To Understand)
  • Core cloud concepts: SaaS vs. IaaS/PaaS, multi-tenant architecture, availability, scalability, SLAs, TCO.
  • Email and collaboration in the cloud: deliverability basics and security standards (TLS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC at a high level), archiving/retention, and interoperability with common ecosystems.
  • Cloud security and trust: identity and access, data protection, compliance considerations (e.g., GDPR-style principles), and incident-readiness at a content-appropriate depth.
  • Buyer and user needs in B2B cloud: admin, IT, security, finance, and end-user perspectives across the funnel.
     

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

Content Writers must have demonstrated writing experience, professional and/or academic.  They have experience writing for a web-based audience as well as a working knowledge of search engine optimization best practices and how they apply to content marketing. 

 

  • 3–5 years of professional writing for web audiences; B2B/technology or SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated mastery of SEO fundamentals and content marketing workflows (keyword research, SERP analysis, content briefs, optimization).
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical information and present it clearly to non-technical and technical audiences.
  • English: Fluent; excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Software-savvy; comfortable learning new tools and working within a CMS.
  • Basic HTML familiarity (headings, links, lists, alt text; schema familiarity is a plus).
  • Experience with WordPress (preferred); Blogger or similar CMS experience is an advantage.
  • High attention to detail, strong organization, and consistent on-time delivery in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Collaborative, constructive, and adaptable to evolving priorities.

Nice to Have

  • Academic or professional background in computer science, information systems, web design, or engineering.
  • Familiarity with analytics and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs/SEMrush).
  • Exposure to cloud/email topics such as migrations, tenant management, SSO/IdP basics, or service reliability communications.
  • Experience producing content for solution/service pages with measurable conversion lift.
