Job Description
- Analyze project needs, estimate costs, and retrieve relevant project documents.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to develop MEP design concepts, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Review and evaluate technical submissions, design plans, and material submissions from contractors.
- Supervise all electrical work to ensure alignment with project priorities, technical challenges, and contractual deadlines.
- Ensure electrical work meets required standards and remains within budgetary constraints.
- Provide electrical engineering expertise to relevant parties to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Review and standardize specifications for contracts, oversee financial evaluations, and ensure compliance.
- Monitor and supervise post-completion testing of materials and equipment to ensure functionality.
- Review and approve final payment certificates for submission to management.
- Oversee the delivery of systems and necessary documentation to the implementing company.
- Verify final drawings against actual onsite work for accuracy.
- Prepare preliminary inventories of supplies required for project execution.
- Prepare tender documents and supervise the tendering process, including bid openings.
- Analyze potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and manage risks effectively.
- Evaluate and prioritize contractors, preparing cost-benefit analyses for decision-making.
- Address and resolve challenges that arise during project execution.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports on supervised projects.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures for any project deviations.
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for various projects.
- Create technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for electrical installations.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Conduct site visits to oversee installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.
- Assist in preparing project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of existing electrical systems.
- Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize delays.
- Evaluate and select appropriate electrical materials and equipment during the procurement process.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering from government university.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles and safety standards.
- Proficient in electrical design software and tools, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Primavera, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
- Very good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
