Job Description
The SS&P Capability in AME region is looking for a Sourcing Specialist position with a passionate and highly skilled individual to drive and engage in strategic negotiations to achieve favourable conditions and strong supplier partnerships for a continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate should possess the skills and knowledge sought below but, of equal importance, he or she will be self-motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be a creative thinker. This is a “hands-on” position that will work across the organization in a competitive atmosphere. Working effectively with cross-functional team members is crucial for success.
Job Requirements
- Academic Degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering.
- Relevant experience with the exposure in the fields of Strategic Sourcing, procurement, Contracts, Negotiations, Vendor Evaluations, Bidding Process, Commodity Trading, Inventory Management, Imports & Exports, Logistics etc.
- Exposure to Glass Raw Materials, Packaging, Furnace consumables and MRO items for float glass.
- Flexibility to work well in a dynamic and demanding team environment. Supervisory skills with responsibility and accountability.
- Knowledge in Commodity Spent analysis, Financial Acumen, usage of Business Intelligence tools etc.
- Domestic and international travel is required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills to deal effectively and professionally with all stake holders.
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite. Working experience in COUPA is preferable.
- Must be fluent in Arabic language
