Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description/Profile

Scope: Human Resources / Administration

Reporting to: Director of Human Resources 

 

Person Profile

A key competency is to be a collaborative team member and value the collective ability of teams. He/she should possess excellent communication skills and should have a diverse range of qualities and competencies. 

 

Knowledge skills He/She should:

  • Be aligned with the BSEE mission statement, core values and beliefs.
  • possess excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Considerable knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices. Interpersonal skills necessary to deal professionally and courteously with other employees and the public and to diffuse volatile situations.
  • Ability to apply rules, regulations and correct administrative practices, procedures and policies to employees and the public in a respectful manner that achieves understanding.
  • Ability to understand and present problems, analyse options and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Skill in operation of modern office equipment such as personal computer, facsimile, copiers, scanners, personal computer software and telephones
  • Skilled in researching and resolving complex problems in order to ensure compliance
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to explain complex policies and processes.
  • Ability to comprehend, process and apply both verbal and written skills appropriate to the job.
  • Able to use the school’s resources effectively and efficiently

 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating human resources processes
  • Administering employee health and welfare plans
  • Acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers
  • Assisting in resolving benefits-related problems
  • Ensuring the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services
  • Administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Answering employee requests and questions
  • Assisting with new employee hiring processes
  • Reconciling benefits statements
  • Assisting with conducting audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs.
  • Assisting with the performance review and termination processes
  • Assisting with the recruitment and interview processes

 

Students protection and safeguarding: 

BSEE Faculty / Administration members are responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom she /he is responsible, or with whom she/he comes into contact. They will be adhered to and ensure compliance with the School’s Safeguarding Policy Statement and anti-sexual harassment policy at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the post the post holder becomes aware of any actual or potential risks to the safety or welfare of children in the school, she /he must report any concerns to the school’s Managing Director 

 

Revision of Job description

According to the development and requirements of the School, Job Specifications will need to be reviewed and updated periodically, after consultation with the Job holder.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working in the human resources field
  • At least 1 year of experience involved in administrative tasks such as payroll processing, and employee database management
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop interpersonal relationships with employees at all levels
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Basic knowledge of Human resource information system (HRIS).
