Job Description
Caduceus Lane is looking for a A highly skilled bilingual professional (English-Arabic) is needed to translate a variety of content, especially text of medical/scientific dimensions.
The Medical Translator will be responsible for the following:
- Reading and thoroughly understanding the context of the given material and translating the source text from Arabic into English and vice versa;
- Ensuring high-quality translation;
- Checking the quality and the accuracy of the translation against the source language to maintain the final deliverables within the approved quality standards;
- Editing, standardizing, proofreading, revising, and finalizing translated material;
- Conducting periodic quality checks of translations;
- Reformulating and enhancing original copy/content based on the briefing provided by the concerned stakeholders and according to the specified target audience;
- Reformulating slogans, messages, and other content (depending on the brief’s requirements) that fit digital and/or print materials;
- Reformulating/editing audio and video scripts; and
- Reformulating/editing professional medical detail aids, advisory boards, workshops, etc.
Job Requirements
Educational and Professional Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in English language or translation (or a relative field of study).
- Previous translation experience is mandatory, preferably in a health care-related field.
- Previous content editing/copy editing experience—especially in the fields of marketing, medical marketing, digital marketing, or advertising—is favorable.
Other Requirements:
- Advanced English/Arabic language and written skills
- Advanced translation skills (preferably specialized in medical texts)
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Attentiveness and attention to detail
