Job Summary:
This role is responsible for managing all the medical related activities within the assigned territory that are specific to biotechnology, including but not limited to (expert engagement, speaker development, local medical activities, prelaunch activities & planning, medical training, patient engagement, patient support & education & nurse support & education) this role will be reporting to the MENA Medical Manager Biotechnology.
This is a field based job with 70% time allocated to the field.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates scientific and business expertise relevant to biotechnology, including products, disease state management, emerging therapies, and the competitive landscape.
- Operational execution of the territory medical plan, manage all medical related activities within the assigned territory.
- Support in the strategy setting through identifying the local needs and disease mapping.
- Support regional team in achieving the top line vision and strategy.
- Provide accurate medical messages from clinical trial data and phase IV published studies and other medical updates & review promotional materials for content and accuracy in-light of the above and in alignment with local and company regulations and timelines.
- Update clinical data landscape for prelaunch products & commercialized products
- Partner with PV bodies in territory to strengthen territory PV systems
- Work with relevant stakeholders to implement HEOR thinking & HTA thinking
- Engages with disease specialists, KOLs and other HCPs and organizes educational meetings, advisory board meetings, and other pre-launch activities.
- Responsible for the management of patient assistance and engagement programs. Ultimate responsibility for patient relations & education.
- Identify/develop local speakers and advocates.
- Support clinical research activities within the country. Provides support to Hikma sponsored and investigator initiated studies (IISs), patient access programs.
- Ensure local compliance for all the company activities.
- Conduct medical training for the disease and product data.
- Deliver accurate and scientifically balanced clinical and scientific information on biotechnology to KOLs, HCPs, patients, and Hikma colleagues.
- Manages the responses to medical/scientific questions and requests for on- or off-label information in relation to Hikma biotechnology (working with corporate medical information function)
Job Requirements
Education / Qualifications / Skills:
- A medical professional (Physician / Pharmacist) (Male/Female).
- Excellent command of English, Arabic & French.
- Able to identify local experts and manage local medical activities within the countries.
- Mastering computer skills (Microsoft office).
- Problem solving and able to manage complex situation.
- Critical thinking and result oriented personality.
- Proven analytical skills and able to prioritize the assigned tasks.
- Able to work in team and can identify potential opportunities
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical as MSL or Medical Advisor.
- Clinical research experience and GCP certification is a plus.
- Biotech experience is a plus.
- Regional experience is preferred.
- Experience in therapy area Oncology, Hematology and Rheumatology is a plus
