Job Description

Manage Website Infrastructure

To get a website running, web admins must set up a web host, configure access for users, establish news and mail servers, and seamlessly connect databases and other back-end components. They’re responsible for familiarizing clients with the website and making sure it functions smoothly.

Monitor Performance

Web admins constantly evaluate website performance by checking metrics such as loading time and memory consumption. Going beyond the technical aspects, they also assess user feedback, effectiveness, and traffic.

Provide Technical Support

Websites require constant maintenance after setup. No matter how robust a site is, it’s never a one-time job, and web admins must be proactive when addressing user concerns and resolving bugs. Additionally, upgrades and improvements are inevitable in the fast-paced world of tech, so it’s up to web admins to integrate these advances.

About the Job

  • Manage large scale Linux server environments: handling Linux environment builds, including deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting and production operations.
  • Build high-performance web environments;
  • Work together with the team and external parties in troubleshooting/resolving application outages and other incidents to ensure performance and stability;
  • Contribute to the development of configuration management and automate routine tasks;
  • Proactively deal with monitoring alerts.

Job Requirements

  • Working experience as a Linux Web Administrator 3+ years;
  • In-depth knowledge and experience building, configuring and monitoring web server system components and compiling open source applications.
  • Very good knowledge, safe handling and experience with Linux systems (Centos-based);
  • Experience with Centos package management;
  • Experience in a web hosting environment and/or supporting a development environment;
  • Experience with web-servers, reverse proxies, cache servers, application servers, SQL/NoSQL database servers. (Varnish, Nginx, Apache, PHP, MySQL, Elasticsearch);
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools
