Job Description

Role Overview:

As a supply chain manager you will be responsible for keeping track of logistics and update the company’s inventory. You will also collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations (e.g. shipping, delivery) meet quality and safety standards. In this role, you’ll collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Finance, to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important. You should also have experience in project management, as well as great leadership and communication ability.

Job Description:

  • Create and execute the company’s supply chain strategy and align it with the organization’s strategy.
  • Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met
  • Collaborate with other departments to effectively implement supply chain strategies placed.
  • Communication and negotiation for the best price with suppliers.
  • Evaluate and report on KPI’s.
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
  • Monitor logistics to ensure that they are running smoothly, controlling receival and delivery processes.
  • Oversee product storage, handling, and distribution.
  • Constantly looking for cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
  • Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process, and analyzing performance.
  • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials.
  • Maintains the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
  • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to the consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
  • Negotiates prices for products and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
  • Manage and motivate a team of supply chain staff.
  • Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process.

Job Requirements

  • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
  • Food & Beverage Background is a must..
