Job Description
Job Purpose:
Develop the most appropriate method and sequence of operations for a particular job in conjunction with other planners and team leaders. A planning engineer plans, oversees the entire program of work, and must anticipate a job's demands in terms of overall and individual activities. Categories include time, labor, materials, equipment and technical challenges.
Critical Duties:
- Support the delivery and maintenance of consistent and realistic plans and control structures for the project during both tendering and execution stages.
- Understand and monitor the interfaces between assigned project sub-elements and other sub-elements.
- Conduct the schedule monthly progress update.
Routine Duties:
- Comply with the planning and progress monitoring procedures.
- Monitor project progress and advise action to meet the schedule, if delayed.
- Liaise with project engineering personnel to assist proper understanding of the key schedule sensitivities and drivers.
- Know the contract key dates, milestones and plan dates and how they relate to the overall project schedule.
- Prepare & monitor Cash Flow Reports.
- Preparing Manpower & Equipment Plan throughout different phases of each project.
Job Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Architecture Engineering.
- 3 -7 years of experience in the same field.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Very good command of English.
- Excellent command of using MS Office.
- excellent command of using Primavera, MS Project…etc.
Physical Effort & Environment:
- Frequent use of hands required.
- May require to be in a prolonged seated position.
- May work under heat, noise, and dust.
