Job Description
- Responsible for the injection process
Prepare plans and operation programs for all plastic production machines and the supporting/secondary equipment - Handle the daily production process and all the related activities.
- Monitor and analyze the scrap ratios and any deviation in the expected production rates.
- Actively participates in the annual operational plan through discussing with the Manufacturing Manager relevant line information (line capacity & efficiency, staffing and waste data), cascades objectives to direct reports, and ensures their timely implementation.
- Participates in preparing the production operating policies and procedures, and communicates any changes to the Line Managers while ensuring workers/employees compliance.
- Reviews and approves the production plan submitted by the Planning department before cascading it down to the Line Managers for execution.
- Cooperates with Maintenance team and agrees the yearly maintenance plan, ensures efficient and timely implementation of the approved maintenance programs. Escalates changes required to the Maintenance plan based on the Line Managers recommendations and according to the production and machinery status.
- Supervises the implementation of the SHEQ practices on the productions lines, ensuring total compliance. Communicates any violation to the SHEQ department, and ensures the efficient implementation of the recommended corrective actions.
- Cooperates with the Product Development department on setting the new products pricing and the execution of new molds.
- Generates periodic Productivity, Safety and Utilization reports, outlining the details of each area respectively for his/ her production line.
- Reviews production daily report reflecting achievement versus plan, and issues to the concerned.
- Reviews the production line break down reflecting the root cause of the problem and communicates to the Maintenance department to take corrective action. Submits to the statistical department to analyze and communicates to the concerned parties to take action.
- Conducts risk assessment programs related to his/ her area of responsibility and clearly communicates them to the SHEQ department. Ensures the efficient implementation of the approved corrective action plans.
- Develops and participates in delivering technical training for the production team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical engineering/production and design)
- Experience in Injection molding – not less than 10 years.
- Not less than 15 years overall manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in plastic industry in a similar position
- On ground experience in applying production & Planning engineering tools as Lean manufacturing, 5S , six sigma ..etc.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in reading data sheets of plastic material.
