Job Description
- Product Costing
- Timely preparation, review and distribution of all monthly financial reporting packages
- Oversee the payment to contractors and suppliers when construction draws are funded.
- Review all monthly job cost reconciliations
- Oversee cash management functions for all development/construction projects. Complete allbank reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger accounts for all projects under construction
- Ability to understand and interpret contracts with regards to construction materials/workperformed
- Oversee the accounts payable function for the development/construction company as well as allprojects in development/construction. Ensure that all subcontractors and vendors meet all requirements of contract agreement prior to any payments
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
- Calculate financial and operating metrics as required
- Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Overall responsibility of the financial reporting, systems and controls to ensure complete,accurate and timely reporting in accordance with ASPE and other regulatory requirements
- Implementing best practice internal controls and company policies and procedures.
- Prepare internal books for outside auditors in timely fashion (annually). Ensure compliance with WSIB standards for contractors
