Job Description
This role is in charge of creating the project’s baseline and different stages starting from concept design and ending with the handover phase. It’s the Planning Engineer’s responsibility to work with the Project Manager and different project's teams in order to track the execution of the predetermined time frame and report project’s issues to propose a recovery plan and finally ensure that projects are completed within set deadlines and budget.
What you are expected to do:
- Create project’s initial baseline
- Decide on proper milestone sequences for each project
- Use budget breakdown, BOQ, final drawings, and project specs to develop the project execution plan
- Document and upload final cost figures and relevant resources updates (labor and equipment) on Primavera
- Pay site visits to monitor actual status of a project and constantly compare between planned and actual progress to report any schedule variance
- Submit baseline updates along with accurate weekly and monthly reports and communicate potential progress delays
- Report project’s backlog, issues, potential risks and come up with a recovery plan
- Analyze expenses and identify opportunities to save cost
- Identify gaps in key performance areas and plan activities to increase overall project efficiency
Job Requirements
What you'll need to succeed in this job:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Very good command of English
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS project
- Strategic planning
- Teamwork aptitude
