Job Description
- Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating business terms with suppliers.
- Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids along with maintaining records of goods ordered and received.
- Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine the need for changes.
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices of purchase.
- Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
- Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
- Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
Job Requirements
- University degree in Engineering/commerce.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of related work experience ( Manufacturing background is a must).
- Research and development skills.
- Communication, and Negotiation Skills.
