Job Description

  • Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Microsoft (MS) Windows Server Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments, providing technical oversight and consultation services.
  • Provide technical support for disaster recovery efforts (actual or simulated).
  • Perform hardware and software technology refreshes, ensuring milestone compliance while coordinating with MPs to minimize disruptions.
  • Work with and manage Incident Management tickets within help desk ticketing system.
  • Perform back-up/recovery functions for Windows server environments.
  • Perform all security/compliance functions for Windows server environments, including Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) to monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance within specified timelines.
  • Document processes and procedures related to monthly patching and backups to satisfy PCI and information security policy requirements.
  • Watch for email alerts to identify and fix problems

Job Requirements

  • Understanding and knowledge of Windows server/application performance monitoring.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Active Directory including but not limited to GPO, schema, and best practices.
  • Understanding and knowledge of email standards and protocols: SMTP, IMAP, and MAPI.
  • Understanding and knowledge of LDAP administration and management.
  • Understanding and knowledge of administration scripts and languages such as PowerShell or VB.
  • Understanding and knowledge of network load balancing and fail-over.
  • Understanding of SAN/NAS storage systems.
  • Understanding of backup and recovery technologies.
  • Understanding and knowledge of security as it applies to Microsoft technologies.
  • Understanding of Web servers and Database servers using IIS and SQL.
  • Understanding and knowledge of System Center family products.
  • Understanding and knowledge of O365.
  • Understanding and of Citrix VDI &XenApp.
  • Understanding and knowledge of different Anti-Virus Solutions.
  • Proven experience with MS Hype-V Server Virtualization.
  • Understanding of VMware Virtualization.
  • Understanding of Unified communication such as Lync and Skype for Business.
  • Systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines
  • A highly independent self-starter is able to work with minimal supervision to detail (organizing information, being accurate).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience with MSCE, ITIL
  • writing code in Java, C++, C#, or C or another object-oriented programming language
  • Experience developing and testing computer software and/or online services
  • Strong coding, debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in web or mobile application development
  • Expertise in relational databases, distributed systems and/or big data technologies
  • Experience in developing large scale services
