Job Description
- Responsible for the checking of incoming bought-in material as prompted by Incoming Goods Inspection procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring the disposition of not in order (NIO) material in quarantine and for supervising sorting as necessary.
- He / She will be disposing of in order (IO) material into stores as applicable.
- Ensure customer requirement are met
- Responsible for managing the Quality/technical relation with suppliers.
- He / She will form part of the Supplier Incoming Quality team and main activity will be to maintain suppliers Quality Standards.
- He / She will track and support supplier on proper root cause analysis and effective corrective actions to permanent closure using industry standard to ensure that there are no repeat issues.
- In addition, this position works closely with Operations to ensure consistent and on time supply of in order parts to production.
Job Requirements
- A Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience working in quality in manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of quality tools and methods
- Using Problem solving tools
- Excellent communication and English language skills.
- Knowledge on use of measuring equipment such as caliper, comparators, optical measuring instruments would be an asset.
- Basic knowledge of six sigma tools.
- Good interpersonal skills and a positive team approach.
