Job Description
- Leading the Legal function and legal team of the Group.
- Standardization and unification of policies and procedures.
- Auditing and Monitoring compliance to Group legal strategies, policies and values.
- Acts as an expert and leader who helps the company minimize its legal risks by advising company's other officers and Chairman on any major legal and regulatory issues.
- The Group Director will be responsible for building and maintaining a culture that combines the highest standards of integrity with responsive, practical approaches to furthering the work of the Group.
- Anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company.
- • Identify, analyze and report on important legislative and regulatory developments.
- • Provide legal counsel on issues arising from actual or anticipated lawsuits, and to prevent future ones.
- Handle all legal cases and disputes and advise Chairman/Group CEO on the right action.
- • Develop and recommend company policy and position on legal issues.
- Developing and leading corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the Group’s Legal matters.
- Developing and leading internal audit and corporate compliance programs
- Overseeing delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate goals, strategies and priorities
- Maintaining proper corporate interactions with the relevant local, and governmental bodies, legislatures and the community at large
- Advising the Chairman and other senior Group officers on a variety of issues
- Participating in the formulation of general management policy as a member of the executive management team
- Managing a team of corporate counsel and other members of the legal department.
- Eliminate/reduce Group liabilities by checking all contractual and legal matters.
Job Requirements
- 10 year(s) of relevant experience required.
- Experience in developing and implementing internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Strong practice of legal affairs and proven professionality in handling lawsuits and litigations
- Fluent Arabic and English languages.
- Ability to think creatively, from a legal perspective, on matters such as business strategy and plans to be compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to maintain the integrity of the company’s reputation with the public, regulatory authorities, and business clients.
- Proven skills and abilities in results achievement, goal driven, decision making, good judgment, problem resolution, research and writing and litigation.
- Extensive written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Possess initiative as well as analytical, organizational and planning skills.
