Job Description
- Lead the financial accounting team to ensure accurate monthly GL close process, balance sheet reconciliations and group reporting, meeting all deadlines
- Lead the consolidation & reporting of monthly management accounts for SLE, including variance/trend analysis
- Lead the implementation and compliance of Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), IFRSs and use of best accounting practices
- Maintain the legal and statutory reporting of the Egypt office
- Participate in the implementation of new financial systems and ensure proper controls are in place
- Assisting PPC in creating and managing forecasts and budgets for various projects
- Perform variances analysis
- Work closely with the operations to ensure the integrity and reliability of the financial and operating results for reporting and forecasting purposes
- Overseeing SNC LAVALIN Egypt projects relating to cash flow, financial reporting, and revenue and expenses
- Lead coordinator for internal audit and assist with external audit and statutory compliance
- Support the Financial Controller and Finance Director on ad-hoc initiatives and analysis
- Develop strong working relationships with team members and other key stakeholders
- Structure the financial & accounting Department
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal team and external business partners and be the point of contact for various suppliers and contractors.
- Manage compliance with lосаl tax and accounting laws Ensure office financial obligations are paid in a timely manner.
- Managing banking relationships.
- Handling payroll processing and labor tax compliance.
- Prepare financial statements and Coordinating with external financial, compliance and tax auditors.
- Seek opportunities to learn new skills and aspire to develop within the team.
Job Requirements
- Fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA/CIA or other recognized Western Accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years, experience within a construction/engineering consultancy organization, preferably in Egypt and the Middle East;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (knowledge of Data Modelling, PowerPivot and PowerBL tools is an advantage). Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools;
- High standard of (numerical) presentation skills.
- Excellent communication in English and Arabic (both written and oral).
- Experience of interacting with multiple businesses and finance functions.
- Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment.
- Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Some Big 4 experience as a senior associate or above (PwC/EY/KPMG/Deloitte);
- Working knowledge of ACCOAC, Hyperion Finance Management (HFM), Smart View and other IT systems and databases.
