Job Overview
- This role is responsible of 3 key supply chain planning roles:
- Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Production Planning.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, a sense of urgency, attention to details, ability to think strategically, and teamwork skills.
- We are looking for an experienced supply chain planning specialist with strong educational and professional background in supply chain with a previous experience working for a manufacturer.
Responsibilities and Duties
Demand Planning:
- Partner with the Sales teams (Retail, Distribution) to develop a demand forecast on the short term (monthly) and long term (quarterly, semiannual, annual).
- Work on developing its accuracy based on base business trends, seasonal and promotional plans.
- Analyze historical sales data and future plans to achieve continuous improvement in the accuracy of the demand plan.
Production Planning:
- Build the production plan to ensure that the Demand plan is fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Develop the factory plan on the short term (monthly) and long term (quarterly, semiannual, annual).
Supply Planning:
- Manage inventory levels of Raw material and packaging to guarantee the execution of the Production Plan without interruptions.
- Manage inventory levels of finished goods to guarantee a smooth execution of the Demand Plan to fulfill market needs in a timely manner.
- Develop minimum – maximum inventory level of all products and be able to align levels with peaks and troughs in demand.
- Develop the E&O list “Excess & Obsolete” and set an action plan with Sales and Marketing teams to minimize and eliminate levels.
- Prepare all weekly/Monthly/yearly reports and discuss developments and key findings with Supply Chain Manager and top management.
- Develop an open channel with the procurement/purchasing specialists and provide support in assessing suppliers’ responses and lead times.
- Regularly meet with key stakeholder teams to discuss ways of improvement and process updates: Marketing, Sales and Distribution, Procurement and logistics, Warehouse, Production.
- Participate in Inventory check process as planned (Quarterly, Semiannual, annual).
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business- Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or Finance.
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management.
- +5 years in Supply chain positions, with minimum 3 years proven previous experience in Supply Chain Planning in the manufacturing industry, with exposure to short lead- time, high volume manufacturing environment.
- APIC, CPIM certified is a major plus.
Skills:
- Expert in Excel.
- Excellent user of SAP system.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and data visualization.
- Self-directed and results focused. Strong sense of urgency and ownership of resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communicator.
- Fluent in English.
