Job Description

You will diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware problems and help our customers install applications and programs. Technical Support Engineer responsibilities include resolving network issues, configuring operating systems and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support.  

You will use email and chat applications to give clients quick answers to simple IT issues. For more complex problems that require nuanced instruction, you will contact clients via phone and/or provide clear, written instructions and technical manuals. To be qualified for this role, you should hold a degree in a relevant field, like Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering. Microsoft, Cisco, Linux or similar certification is a plus. 

Responsibilities

  • Support Server service include (Active directory, Backup Exec, SCCM, Kaspersky, WSUS, All Apps on the Server Fileserver, Cisco voice mail).
  • Support System operations, administration and network connectivity, including (Lan Switches, WAN and ADSL, D-link Access Points).
  • Support Network security including Fortigate Firewall (Manage& Development) .
  • Email support for cloud and Exchange online.
  • Software end user support for (office 2016, office 365, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Application administration.
  • IP telephony system, Cisco Call Server – Full Manage & Support.
  • Surveillance system and cameras – Full Support.
  • Access Control System, Finger print and Time Attendance – Basic Support.
  • Copying and printing service Full Support, without spare parts and toners.
  • Conferencing Tools.
  • Printers.
  • WIFI, Access Points.
  • Data show – Basic support.
  • Sound System – Full support.
  • Remote assistance using Remote Desktop and a Virtual Private Network where available.
  • Support Monthly system health check.
  • Liaise with suppliers on current system updates, upgrades and license renewal.
  • With suppliers regarding software and hardware procurement.
  • Dealing with ISPs.
  • Backup end user e-mails and important data.
  • Install computers and laptops, and perform periodic maintenance and repair faults in a timely manner
  • Installing cameras, adjusting angles, and performing periodic maintenance
  • Installing sensors and performing periodic maintenance

Job Requirements

  • BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field or equivalent years of hands-on experience
  • Above average knowledge of networking protocols, especially TCP/IP.
  • Good knowledge of network basics (IP - router - switch - access point)
  • Good knowledge of the types of printers (laser printer - photocopier).
  • Good knowledge of fire alarm systems
  • Good knowledge of different operating systems (windows - Linux)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of surveillance camera systems (IP, CCTV)
  • Good knowledge of the components of computers and laptops
  • Good knowledge of the types of sensors used in fire alarms
  • Technical knowledge of virtualization system
  • Good knowledge of operating and maintaining electronic scales (Is Must)
  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Proficiency in English
  • Having a Certificate in: CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate on Windows 10.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • End user-oriented and cool-tempered
