Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Intelligent Network Operations Team member main task is to ensure smooth operations of the
  • Charging nodes and Payments nodes.
  • The Job holder will be responsible to maintain/monitor the charging system and
  • IN nodes and ensure availability 99.999% of the vital systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Intelligent Network Operations Team member main task is to ensure smooth operations of the Charging nodes/Payments nodes (Telepin & Etisalat Cash) .The Job holder will be responsible to maintain/monitor the charging system and IN nodes and ensure the availability 99.999% of the vital systems.
  • Investigate escalations of critical and major alarms to facilitate taking the most appropriate actions according to the cases.
  • Conduct regular health checks to the Intelligent Network nodes and Payments nodes (Telepin & Etisalat Cash) to verify the data and take corrective actions whenever needed.
  • Handling incoming requests from concerned parties (e.g. problems of first lines, technical investigations and analysis, etc...) to ensure sufficient support and smooth operations.
  • Testing new packages and new tariffs implemented on the system to ensure proper deployment and service availability
  • Create and update reports and event tracking of the major issues to present to the management
  • Study the vendor documentation and Etisalat’s products descriptions, in order to guarantee acquiring comprehensive and adequate knowledge.
  • Open cases with Node vendors (Ericsson, Telepin & MasterCard) and follow up to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
  • Develop new and customized tools that support business requirements, in order to reduce the health checks processes timeframes and increase efficiency.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS -ESSENTIAL

  • Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering
  • Basic Knowledge about communications concepts (Transmission Signaling protocols specially
  • SS7 protocol …etc )
  • Basic knowledge about Intelligent Networks and Core Networks
  • Basic Knowledge about Networks (IP networks GSM Networks .. )
  • Basic Knowledge about Operating systems (UNIX LINUX …. )
  • Basic knowledge about SQL fundamentals.

QUALIFICATIONS -DESIRABLE

  • Investigate escalations of critical and major alarms to facilitate taking the most appropriate actions according to the cases.
  • Solving customer trouble tickets in the agreed SLA
  • Good knowledge about Shell scripting
  • Good knowledge about any other programing language like (perl java ...etc)
  • Develop new and customized tools that support business requirements, in order to reduce the health checks processes timeframes and increase efficiency.

EXPERIENCE -ESSENTIAL

  • 0 to 1-year experience in charging systems/payments systems, or related telecom experience. 

CERTIFICATIONS -ESSENTIAL

  • Operating Systems Courses ( UNIX LINUX …etc )
  • Database Administrations ( Oracle TimesTen Sysbase ….etc)
  • Unix Admin is plus 
  • SQL fundamentals is plus
