Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical writer engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of technical documentation and product data sheets for ISST’s wide range of products. This role is crucial to supporting the sales, technical, and marketing teams by providing clear and precise documentation that communicates key product specifications, features, and benefits to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain accurate, high-quality technical documents, including product data sheets, technical specifications, manuals, and user guides for all ISST products (Fiber cables and accessories, cabinets & racks, DC power systems, lithium batteries, cooling solutions, Data Center, and diesel generators).
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and technical experts to gather relevant information and ensure the technical accuracy of all documents.
- Review and update existing product documentation to reflect changes in product features, specifications, or compliance standards.
- Ensure that all documents are clear, concise, and formatted according to company standards.
- Organize and manage a centralized document repository for easy access and version control.
- Support cross-functional teams by providing technical documentation to assist in marketing, sales, and customer service activities.
- Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Assist in the creation of product presentations, proposals, and training materials.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the company’s document management system and processes.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, telecommunication), or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical writing or documentation, preferably in the engineering, telecommunications, or power industries.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
- Experience working with product specifications, technical data sheets, and manuals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management tools.
- Preferred Familiarity with technical writing software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, MadCap Flare, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred Knowledge of industry standards for document formatting, technical accuracy, and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with the telecommunications or data center infrastructure or power infrastructure sectors.
- Experience with creating technical documents for international markets.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards in the telecommunications, data center infrastructure, and power industries.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
