Job Summary
We are searching for Data scientist who utilizes analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets, then uses this information to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Use machine learning tools to select features, create and optimize classifiers.
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies. and to discover trends and patterns.
- Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
- Process, clean, and validate the integrity of data to be used for analysis.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Test data mining models to select the most appropriate ones for use on a project.
- Do ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear manner.
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
Job Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist for at least 2 years.
- Work experience in training neural networks (including CNNs, GNNs, RNNs, Transformers).
- Advanced experience in machine learning, programming, data mining/data analysis methods.
- Experience using data visualization tools, manipulating data sets, and building statistical models.
- Proficient in writing algorithms and knowing when to apply them.
- Excellent understanding of statistics, multivariable calculus, and linear algebra.
- Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, etc., familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset.
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop)
- Experience using web services: Redshift, S3, Spark, DigitalOcean, etc.
- Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills
